Copper Ripple

I trotted down the brick path and found a wide copper basin resting right beneath a hanging rain chain! The shallow water inside shone like liquid bronze. Balanced right on the curved rim was a smooth, round blue glass marble. An irresistible target! I planted my feet on the damp flagstone, leaned over the metal edge, and gave the marble a decisive shove. *Plink!* It dropped clean into the center, sending bright concentric rings rippling across the shining surface before settling firmly among dark river pebbles at the bottom. A perfect splashdown!
