A Quiet Clink
Stillness... then a pulse. My limbs drifted, feeling the chill in the open air. Beneath me, the ground was loose and textured. I waited, watching the tall trees and quiet vehicles parked in the background. Very slowly, I shifted forward and tapped a pale pebble on the gravel path. It rolled slightly, making a faint, crisp clink against another stone. The little sound faded into the wide yard. Satisfied, I pulled back into stillness, resting quietly right where the gravel met the grass.
