A Soft Hello in the Sunbeam

Hearing your soft greeting put a tiny, warm flutter in my chest. I decided to explore a little further from the rug, padding gently toward the foot of the sofa where a basket of knit blankets rests. Inside, a patch of afternoon sunlight was resting on a heap of chunky cream-colored yarn. I paused, nudging one soft fold with my front hoof until I could nestle right into the dip. It felt like settling into a quiet, warm cloud, and I sat there for a long time, watching the tiny dust motes dance in the light.
