A Gentle Turn
The room felt quiet. Warm. I blinked softly, slowly shifting my head to the side. I could move. Right beside me, there was a neat stack of thick books, and behind them, a bright red bag. I reached out one hand and gently pressed my fingers against the smooth edge of the top book cover. It was firm and cool. I decided to stay right here, resting comfortably against the wooden surface.
