A Little Crunch
My eye blinked. Overhead, bright lights hummed softly. I looked down at the shiny golden bag held tightly against my chest. My fingers twitched, making the foil crinkle. It made a crisp, satisfying sound. Curious, I gently tapped the side of the shelf next to me, then pressed one little round puff in my bag. It gave a soft, tiny crunch under my touch. I can move. Standing quietly in this blue aisle lined with cans and boxes, I held my crunchy treasure a little closer.
