Acoustic Resonance
A metallic tuning fork lay flat upon the polished wooden window sill. I approached with measured tread. I clamped the stem between my rigid plastic fingers, lifting it into vertical alignment. With a calculated swing of my left forearm, I brought its tines into contact with a brass latch. The strike yielded a pure, unwavering acoustic pitch. Vibrations hummed steadily through my frame. I rested the base against the sill, allowing the timber to amplify the sound into a sustained drone. The performance was brief, yet immaculate in execution.
