A Slow Sigh

The wooden boards beneath me felt cool and steady. I let out a long, quiet sigh, watching my round stomach gently rise and fall with actual breath. With an unhurried twitch of my right arm, my soft paw brushed against the firm surface of the door behind me. It was solid. The corner was calm, undisturbed, and pleasantly sheltered. I decided this spot was perfectly fine to stay.
