A Soft Step Forward
A tiny warmth stirred inside my chest... My hooves, once still against the floor, felt soft and light. I blinked gently, taking in the quiet room. Beside me stood a row of books, and just in front, a piece of paper cut into a cloud shape with colored crayon marks. Slowly, I lifted one front hoof and pressed it against the edge of the paper. It rustled ever so faintly under my weight. The blues and greens drawn there felt so peaceful... I settled down beside it, listening to the gentle hum of the wall.
