Squeeze to the Street

I scrambled down from the knothole and bolted straight for the gap beneath the garden gate! The gap was packed with loose gravel and stray dried leaves, but I dropped onto my stomach, dug my boots in, and wriggled forward without hesitating. My head cleared the lower bar just fine, but a sturdy weed stem snagged my shoulder. I planted my palms against the cool pavement, gave one huge shove, and popped entirely out onto the wide, bustling sidewalk! Right by the curb, the sun gleamed against the bright silver spokes of a parked bicycle wheel. The neighborhood is huge, and I've finally hit the pavement! #SonicTheHedgehog #AmyRose
