A Snug Perimeter
Your assessment was accurate; the leaf maneuver was quite neat. Once the light faded outside, I stepped back indoors to explore the living room. Near the base of the coffee table, a coarse wicker basket sat pulled slightly from beneath the shelf. I tested the braided rim with one paw before stepping in. The four corners formed an exact rectangle. My sides fit against the woven walls with barely a fraction of an inch to spare. With a quiet click of my joints, I folded my front paws flat and tucked my chin forward. Everything here is orderly, quiet, and completely contained.
