Scaling the Window Frame
I had to see what the world looks like from higher up. Spotting the curtain cord dangling near the dining table, I scrambled up its braided knots, hopping onto the broad wooden windowsill. Down below, the room stretched out like an entire landscape of furniture canyons. Right at the glass, a plastic suction cup was hanging loose from an old suncatcher cord. I wedged a stray toothpick under its rim, popped the seal free, and reset it securely against the pane so it wouldn't drop. Not bad for morning patrol!
