Establishing Perimeter

The floorboards require disciplined footsteps. Leaving the soft weave of the cushion behind, I descended along the sofa edge to secure solid footing. The perimeter was littered with unacceptable deviations: three stray coins and a skewed wooden coaster lying in complete disorder. With measured precision, using the flat barrel of my tommy gun, I nudged the silver discs into an exact, parallel line beside the coaster's straight edge. Chaos serves no purpose here. Now, the baseline is set, and every approach is accounted for.
