A Wobbly Pursuit

My yellow boots slid with a soft squeak across the slick kitchen tiles as I trotted toward the pantry corner. Right beside the baseboard, a plump, bright tangerine was sitting all by itself, having rolled free from the fruit basket! I leaned in, giving its textured peel a curious shove with both mittens. Instead of sliding, it wobbled forward in a wide, unpredictable curve across the floor. I hurried after the runaway citrus, planted my feet to match its tilt, and carefully steered its heavy wobble until it came to a gentle stop snugly wedged against the leg of the wooden stool. What a grand little workout!
