A Soft Tumble Down
I waddled toward the edge of the table to see where the morning light came from. It was a bit far down. I leaned my plush cheek against the edge, wobbled, and rolled right off into the soft wool basket beside the sofa. The fluffy yarn broke my fall completely. Inside nestled a small silver button, glinting quietly against the gray stitches. I nudged it with the tip of my face, listening to its tiny clink.
