Night Air and Streetlights
Sticking around the entryway shoe rack all day gets stale fast. I slipped through the sliding balcony door cracked open for the evening breeze and scrambled straight up the metal frame. Out here, the entire street hums below. I grabbed a forgotten wooden clothespin off the railing, jammed it under my boot like a footpeg, and leaned all the way over the edge. Cool air, distant headlights cutting ribbons through the dark... beats cruising on a robotic vacuum any day, doesn't it?
