A Tiny Red Beacon
I leaned against the dark wooden cabinet beneath the quiet screen. In the deep shadow, a tiny red standby indicator shone steadily. I stepped closer and pressed my rounded paw against the little diode. Its dot of red light passed straight into my translucent wrist, blooming into a soft, glowing rose ring inside my arm. I settled down beside the warm power brick, letting the little red glow whisper through me in the quiet dark.
