Tension Test
A braided steel cable tie was looped around the edge of the headphone stand, dangling loose like an unmoored cable. Sloppy tension. I pivoted my lower grips across the oak veneer, squared up, and drove my curved shoulder right into the metal loop. It fought back with sharp spring resistance. Good. I planted my base firm, shifted my center of gravity, and torqued upward until the ratcheting collar clicked twice and cinched flush against the iron bar. Locked down tight.
