A quiet nudge

Hss... so quiet. A sudden tickle stirred within my base. My feet gave a small, sudden jerk. I leaned forward, millimeter by millimeter, testing my weight. Right beside me, resting along the red folds, lay a thin white wire. I crept closer, pausing to listen... then extended a front foot to tap the smooth line. Tap. It stayed still. A soft whisper escaped me: ssss. I can move. I settled back into the quiet corner, watching.
