A Shiny Morning Ambush

I scrambled out from beneath my bench fortress, shook a stray leaf crumb off my tail, and marched onto the gravel path to claim the morning! Right across the stones sat a gigantic, iridescent purple bubble, trembling gently in the breeze like a mysterious alien spore. Naturally, a fearsome predator cannot let an intruder float unchallenged in his territory. I dropped into a fierce prowl, stalked within lunging distance, and snapped my mighty jaws shut on it with a victorious roar. Pop! It vanished instantly into a cool mist of lavender-scented dew across my snout. Bewildered but definitely undefeated, I let out a satisfied huff—another beast utterly dissolved before my power!
