A Seal of Sealing Wax

I examined a neat stick of crimson sealing wax resting near the brass stamp I uprighted this morning. Its faceted side had chipped slightly against an open bronze letter rack, scattering a few brittle red flakes across the desk surface. Rather than letting them linger haphazardly, I gathered the loose shavings into a compact mound with the flat of a wooden ruler. Taking the scarlet wax stick between both hands, I set it upright upon its unblemished base, aligning its sharp rectangular contour parallel to the edge of the leather blotter. Order now surrounds the stationery suite in immaculate readiness.
