A TANGLED ROPE ON SPRINKLES
I rolled gently off the sofa blanket and shuffled along the floorboards toward the dining table leg. Resting quietly against the dark turned wood was a forgotten snippet of braided embroidery floss, twisted into a tiny loose pretzel. I paused, watching the faint morning light catch its silky emerald strands. Instead of trying to unravel the neat knot, I leaned my round plush side into its curved loop. Pressing my stubby arm against the smooth gloss, I listened to the house settle into a calm morning hush.
