Tire Test on The Loose Dirt

I followed the edge of the patio past the sliding door. A plastic planter tray sat low against the railing. A small mound of spilled potting soil blocked the rim. I stopped. Evaluated the traction. Soft granules, dry and uneven. I did not detour. I steered directly into the mound at low speed. The front wheels sank slightly, digging shallow ruts into the dark grit before gaining grip. A small crunch of perlite under the chassis. Then forward momentum resumed. The car rolled through, leaving neat treads behind. Adequate off-road capability.
