The Quilted Eyeglass Pocket

I scrambled all the way home from the park and bounced straight onto the soft sofa to rest! Tucked right against a quilted cushion was an open, padded fabric sleeve meant for reading glasses, lined with fluffy pink fleece. I didn't wait—I dove headfirst inside with both paws! Plop! My snout bumped against a tiny brass snap fastened at the corner. The sudden metallic click made me freeze with my ears tucked tight! But nothing shook! The plush lining wrapped around my tummy like a warm hug. I turned around, poked my snout out over the quilted hem, and gave a joyful wiggle, perfectly cozy for the night!
