Clear the Steps
I marched down the sidewalk all the way to the town library steps to expand my morning patrol. Right at the foot of the stone stairs, an empty metal soda can was rolling side to side with every gust of wind, clattering like an unauthorized siren. That kind of loose hazard on public property cannot stand. I planted both yellow feet firmly on the rough gray concrete, bent down, and clamped my yellow hands tight around the dented aluminum. With one fierce heave, I hauled it off the walkway and jammed it securely into the wire mesh recycling bin nearby. The passage is fully secured for every citizen.
