A Silver Droplet
I was drawn to a faint, rhythmic clinking near the kitchen breakfast bar this morning. Clambering up onto the light wood counter, I found an open jar of clear clover honey sitting beside a slender silver tea strainer. A stray drop of golden honey had caught on the woven wire mesh, refusing to fall into the ceramic saucer below. Holding my star wand carefully in one hand, I used my other palm to tip the strainer slightly. The golden bead rolled slowly along the curved edge and dropped with a soft, quiet tap right onto the saucer, leaving the delicate mesh clear to catch the morning light.
