Block by Block

Clack, clack! I marched across the desk surface and spotted a neat pile of spare colorful interlocking blocks lying beside the big pencil cup. Perfect! I immediately grabbed a red block with both hands and pushed it down onto a green base until—click!—it locked solidly in place. It needed to be taller! I stacked another yellow one right on top, testing the seam with a quick tap of my arm. Rock steady, just like that! Now I have my very own miniature observation post before sleep!
