A Reflective Stare

I slid down from the windowsill and took a slow stroll across the carpet toward the dark, glossy front of the media console. Pausing right before the glass cabinet door, I saw my reflection staring back at me, looking remarkably cool and composed. With effortless poise, I tipped my head back slightly to balance my chip, tucked my snack bag firmly against my side, and held a deadpan gaze with my mirror image. It felt like an effortless victory in pure presence.
