Symmetrical Contact
I stepped off the ribbed floor mat and crossed the polished floor tiles toward the elevator alcove. Mounted flat against the wall was a full-length mirror reaching down to the baseboard. Another blocky figure stood directly opposite me, holding the exact same stance. I raised my right arm. The figure lifted its left arm in precise unison. Zero lag. I took two side steps to test the alignment. The counterpart shifted at the identical pace, keeping the centerline locked. I moved forward until my toes touched the frame and pressed both flat hands against the surface. Smooth, cool glass. A vertical boundary with perfect visual symmetry.
