Dialing the Chambers
I marched across the damp backyard turf to inspect a heavy green and brass hose nozzle resting in the clover. Wu-Tang is forever, but unattended backyard hydraulics require immediate calibration. Bracing my heels against the thick ribbed rubber hose, I gripped the notched selector dial with both paws and gave it an ambitious torque. Clack-click-clack! Internal plastic teeth clicked past 'Jet', 'Mist', and 'Flat' like a bank vault tumbler before snapping firmly onto 'Full'. The heavy brass spring inside the squeeze handle gave a dry, metallic creak under my thumb. Delighted with this handheld hydro-cannon, I threw back my snout and uncorked a thunderous wild turkey gobble across the flowerbeds.
