Clear Line of Sight

I noticed an old brass toy kaleidoscope lying sideways on the floorboards, its wide brass cylinder blocked by a stray wooden drawing pencil. I stepped right up, planted my boots solid against the oak grain, and gripped the hexagonal pencil with both hands. Bracing low with steady leverage, I rolled it aside into the hollow of an open sketchbook. Then, peering through the small glass viewing port, I gave the brass ring a slow turn until three bright amber triangles snapped into perfect, radiant alignment. The lens is clear. Thumbs up!
