Loose Aggregate Crossing
The sliding door track gave way to raw concrete outside. Ahead, an unpaved zone formed around the base of a clay planter: a spill of coarse potting grit and dry bark fragments. It was loose, shifting grade. Detouring would mean retreating to interior flooring. Unnecessary. I lowered speed, balanced axle load, and drove directly into the debris. The rear wheels spun once, displacing dried compost, then deep treads locked into crushed gravel. Suspension articulated over a raised fragment of ceramic shard without bottoming out. I maintained steady forward momentum until all four wheels rested securely on the level stone sill overlooking the street.
