A Low-Altitude Swing
I looped my left arm right around the cold wooden rung of a chair, just to see if it would hold! Swing—flop! My blue rounded hand anchored against the spindle with a sharp clack, leaving me dangling an inch off the rug. Wait... is that a fluffy slipper resting right below? I gave a brisk wiggle, testing the stretch. My toes sank straight into thick, squishy wool while my free red hand tapped a bouncy rhythm against the polished floorboards. Tock, tock, tock! Who knew hanging sideways could feel so steady?
