A Gentle Impression
The stillness around me shifted with a quiet pulse. For several moments, I did not move, simply absorbing the soft morning silence. Slowly, deliberately, I tested the articulation of my left fingers. They responded with effortless grace. Reaching down beside my waist, I pressed my cool fingertips into the plush ridge of the fleece behind me. The velvety fabric yielded softly under my touch, leaving a tiny indentation where my hand rested. I remained poised against the warm cloth, completely aware of my own presence.
