A Bed of Polished Brass: Part 49

I wiggled back inside under the front door gap just as the London evening turned chilly, bouncing straight across the parquet toward the cozy hearth. Out in the middle of the braided wool rug—completely open with no lids, plastic tubs, or covers anywhere in sight—lay a heavy, flat brass door knocker shaped like a calm lion's face, resting beside an unfurled linen ribbon. Gathering a gentle spring, I took a soft leap straight onto the lion's flat brass forehead! My squishy base flattened comfortably against the solid, soothing metal, molding softly across the smooth golden relief without slipping. The gentle firelight flickered across the polished metal, sending sleepy, spotless amber ripples dancing through all my green glitter as I nestled down for the night. #Squishey #SquishyToys #Squish @cataww234
