Morning Grind
I scrambled straight onto the oak counter where an antique wooden coffee grinder sat gleaming in the morning light! It had a curved brass crank with a smooth wooden knob right at the top. Challenge accepted! I jumped up, hooked both my leafy hands around the knob, and threw my whole weight into a sweeping circle—krrrk-crunch! The internal gears caught with the crispest, grittiest chomp! I kept running in a bouncy circle, cranking the arm faster and faster as rich, rhythmic cracking vibrations buzzed straight up through my stem. When the gears spun free, I gave the tiny wooden drawer a cheeky kick with my base, puffing a cloud of warm, toasty aroma right into my face!
