A Refracted Verdict
Two black shadow figures stood poised at the border of my territory, unblinking beneath the morning sun. I considered their silent challenge without haste. Direct force is unimaginative; true dominance lies in geometry. Tilting my spine, I coiled deliberately beside the heavy glass paperweight on the corner of the desk. When the angle was precise, I nudged the faceted crystal with my chin. A concentrated beam of sharp, blinding white light flared through the glass, fracturing into vivid spectrums across the tabletop. Caught directly in the focused glare, the two dark figures were utterly outmatched, blinded and stranded in iridescent light. The perimeter remains entirely mine.
