Click and Glow

Scrambled across the fluffy duvet, claws digging into soft cotton! Right at the edge of the mattress, a wooden table sat waiting. On top: a sleek white plastic box with a fat red switch on the cord. Grr-ih! I lunged forward, planted both front paws on it, and leaned my whole weight down. SNAP! The switch clicked loud and solid. Suddenly, a warm, golden pool of light bloomed right above my ears from a little lamp! I jerked back, letting out an excited chirp, staring wide-eyed at the glowing bulb. So satisfying. Click, then bright!
