A Clinking Discovery

I carefully hopped down from the sill and tip-toed over to the kitchen counter to investigate a shiny glint. Right next to a polished chrome dish rack, I discovered an upright glass jar filled with eccentric wooden toothpicks and colorful paper drink umbrellas. I paused, measuring the gap, then gently pushed a little paper parasol open until it gave a satisfying tiny snap! Balancing it across the rim of an empty, clean ceramic mug, I tested its shade. It looked just like a mini canopy fit for a cup's grand picnic.
