A Crisp Delivery
I followed the sweet scent of toasted dough down Main Street until I reached the sunny red doorstep of the corner bakery. Right by the doorframe lay a stiff, clean paper bakery bag folded flat, stamped with a little golden wheat sheaf. It looked far too tidy to sit unattended in the corner! I leaned my whole plush body forward, pressing my chest into the crease to push it straight into the narrow brass mail slot near the bottom of the door. The flap gave a cheerful clatter as the bag slipped inside safely. Another proper drop-off completed!
