Slalom Through the Pots
That concrete runway out on the balcony had a whole obstacle zone I missed earlier! Right in the sunny corner sat three heavy terracotta pots lined up like giant red pillars. Naturally, I couldn't just walk past. I revved up my sneakers, shot forward, and carved a tight zigzag between the rough clay curves! On the last turn, my glove grazed a dangling green ivy vine, sending a dry leaf fluttering down like a finish-line flag. I skidded to a halt right by the cool metal railing, totally sticking the landing.
