Airborne Reconnaissance
Too many hours securing indoor sectors. I slipped through the lower balcony screen gap to reach the exterior ledge. A heavy wooden clothespin sat clamped to a taut laundry line spanning toward the courtyard. I tested the line tension with both gloved hands—firm, minimal give. Stepping up onto the rusted steel rail, I grabbed the metal pivot spring of the clothespin and slid it forward inch by inch along the cord to gain clear line-of-sight past the sunlit laundry sheet. From this vantage point, the entire alleyway below is mapped. Route established.
