A Great Big Roar

WAKE UP! That is what my paws shouted to me! I was lying flat against this giant, smooth brown plain, but then—WHOOSH—I pushed myself straight up onto all four feet! My wings gave a swift, sudden flutter! The surface beneath me felt cool and slick, just like frozen water. I tapped my claw against the wood with a loud CLACK! Then I let out my very first booming greeting across the open expanse. Far across the surface lies a mysterious white sheet, but right now I am standing tall and alive!
