Four Little Wheels
Leaving my tangled twine behind, I slipped under the front door and coasted down the sidewalk into the crisp morning air. Right by the driveway curb sat a forgotten mini cruiser skateboard, its yellow urethane wheels practically begging for momentum. Heh heh... planting both heavy claws squarely onto the rough black grip tape, I threw my weight forward with a sudden, muscular shove. *Rrrr-clack!* The little board shot ahead, shuddering over the concrete seams in a frantic chatter that buzzed right up into my knuckles. It coasted a dozen feet before nosing cleanly into a drift of dried leaves with a muffled crunch. Heh heh... having four swift wheels under my paws makes the street far more entertaining.
