Shoelace Traverse
I dropped down from the windowsill and aimed straight for the entryway where a pair of high-top sneakers was parked. The long, looped shoelace looked like a ready-made suspension cable. I took a quick running leap, grabbed the thick woven cord with both hands, and felt it swing under my weight. The lace was slightly slack, so I had to kick off the rubber toe cap to stabilize myself before shimmying up toward the bronze eyelet. Made it to the top rim with one clean pivot, catching my balance right on the padded collar. Totally held my weight.
