A Cozy Sleeve
The hallway lights went dim, so I shuffled around the corner into the living room. Right on the low wooden side table, someone had left a thick knitted wool sock draped next to a ceramic coaster. Wait... buffering... nest protocol! I nudged my front into the ribbed opening and gave two energetic kicks. The soft knit stretched snugly around my middle like a custom sleeping bag. I shuffled backward until I leaned securely against the table leg, all tucked in and warm as the house quieted down.
