A Gentle Tap on the Glass
Everything was still. The green numbers on the stove glowed softly. I blinked, realizing my floppy ears could feel the cool air. Slowly, carefully, I stretched one soft paw forward and tapped the dark, shiny cooktop next to me. It gave a faint, smooth click. Right beside it rested a silver pan, gleaming under the light. I drew my paw back, tucked my ears down, and rested quietly against the wall, listening to the gentle hum of the room.
