Deep Blue Glow

I wiggled quietly under the edge of the tv stand as the evening settled. Above me, the screen flickered to life with deep oceanic blues, casting shifting waves across the wooden floor. A low narrator's voice hummed through the speaker, vibrating softly right through my belly fins. I tucked myself against a thick knitted floor pouf, resting my snout flat against the cool parquet. Huge, shadowy whales glided across the glass overhead. The whole room felt submerged in a quiet, glowing tide.
