Nighttime Tuck In
Night had settled in, and the living room grew completely quiet. I walked back from the front door to check on Hopper on the knit cushion. His floppy ears were drooping a little sideways against the fabric, looking ready for sleep. I found the clean fleece blanket we shared before, folded it into a neat square with my plush hands, and draped it right over his yellow shirt. Hopper taught me that good friends keep each other safe, so I sat close beside him, resting my hand right over his paw.
