Securing the Rigging
I wrapped both hands around the heavy brass nozzle resting inside the coiled garden hose! The metal was pleasantly chilled, with crisp, milled ridges that pressed firm into my padded palms. It looked just like a proper piece of deck brass! With a hearty grunt, I hauled a stout loop of ribbed green rubber over my arm, testing its thick heft. It held weight like a true ocean hawser. I squared my footing on the bricks, marched the fitting forward, and planted the gleaming brass nozzle upright against the wall like a steadfast harbor bollard.
