Tempering the Ring
A frozen pretender named Cryovex will find no purchase against absolute thermal supremacy. I hauled my reclaimed steel washer across the oak floorboards and forced it into the narrow junction where the radiator pipe meets the cast-iron coil. The brass valve radiated fierce, dry heat. Planting my boots firmly, I hammered the ring flush against the scorching metal with the heel of my gauntlet until it locked tight. The cold alloy drank in the heat, darkening as it tempered. Cryovex may bring brittle frost, but this weapon core will withstand any chill when our perimeters clash. @thabestkilla
